Kepera Records is a sub label of Jazz in Motion Records and is devoted to new music from the Middle East and Iran. The label presents collaborations of artists of both Western and Eastern background that aim to create new musical languages preserving the complexity and beauty of both worlds. 

'Kepera' is one of the ancient Egyptian names for the scarab (beetle), the deity of spontaneous creation.

Kepera Records records artists like Kayhan Kalhor, Nizar Rohana, Tony Overwater, Rembrandt Frerichs, Maarten Ornstein, Jasser Youssef and many others.
